Mechanical Design

ICI utilizes Solidworks 2007 and Catia V4 & V5 3D software for all of our designs.  ICI uses an extensive   21 step plan to ensure customer satisfaction, input and buyoff throughout the entire design process. Modifications to existing equipment can be verified prior to and during design with our Portable CMM (Romer) insuring proper fit, parts can also be digitized (copied) as well utilizing Revworks software in conjunction with Solidworks.

With this project which included 2 Dual Arm Yaskawa/Motoman robots interfacing (loading and unloading) with machining centers as well as each other, ICI utilized animation software to allow the customer to visualize the project and proceed.  This was the first installation in the U.S. using this robot.
